An Indelible Impression

Alex dear, friends and loved ones,

My big brother left an indelible impression on me and would not have it that I should remain at ease. He would often say throughout the day:

Jesus is Lord!

Do stay blessed.

Don't let Satan steal your joy.

Christ lives in you and so the works he did, you can do too.

We must be patient with each other.

Good morning/day sister Pophi, Pophi!

...

Each day was truly good to him! He appreciated each moment the Lord granted to him and would not allow himself to run out of steam. Often misunderstood but deeply observant, he was pressed to rescue the perishing or fan spiritual dearth into a flame. This really was his living and waking testimony and I thank the Lord for showing this to me.

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save.

Refrain:
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.

Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
Chords that were broken will vibrate once more.

Rescue the perishing, duty demands it;
Strength for thy labour the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.
